Gardening and stuff

Here's Sydney cleaning out her tugboat pool, getting ready for the warm weather!

I leave you with this picture of a white dove flying over my pond. My neighbor trains them and lets them out for exercise. Sometimes they come to visit. They're so cute! And I do love this picture.

My very own Punky Brewster

This is what she wore to school today. A long sleeve pink shirt underneath a dress, with hot pink footless tights and pink and green tennis shoes ( I do love the shoes). Originally, she had on red tights, but they were too small, so she ended up in these.

And this is what she wore a couple weeks ago. A long sleeve pink shirt under a dress (I'm seeing a theme here), with pink cotton pants, princess socks and brown and pink sketcher tennis shoes. I'm tellin' ya, this girl's got style!

Easter pics (finally)

Her basket
Her cool new Ariel shades she got

Looking precious in her Easter hat

Pretty dress and shoes

The cousins, Addison and Cali

They just love each other so much

Addison in her bunny ears, sunglasses, and weird face

Sydney wanted one of these as soon as she spotted it in the Wal Mart ad. But when Chris went to get her one, they were all broken. Thank goodness for memaw!

Easter egg hunt at my mom's. Jana's girls hid the eggs and Sydney was walking around saying "they did a good job hiding the eggs."

It was a bit windy that day and a little chilly, but I have to say it was nicer than past Easter's. I'll never understand why all Easter dresses are short sleeve and sleeveless. It's always COLD on Easter!

Easter Egg Hunt

My church held an Easter egg hunt today for the community. I got there a little early to help setup, but there wasn't a lot left to do! We had a good turnout and everyone had lots of fun.

Wearing her collection basket as a hat

Finding all the eggs she could!

The chairs were there as a dividing line between her age group and the older kids, but eventually, it became a free for all since there were more of her age group than the others and they ran out of eggs quicker!

Her loot! Happy Easter everyone! I'm sure there will be more pics posted from tomorrow. It's church in the morning, another egg hunt and my mom and dad's house and lunch with them.

All done! And a day with cousins

After church on Sunday, we picked up Addison and Cali and took them back to our house to play. Sydney really misses having them around and often asks to see them. So, here there are, all dressed up and playing. I loved having them there and didn't want to take them back!

Ta dow! The new kitchen floor!

Oooh, ahhhh. I love it. I just want to lay in the middle of it
So, we are no longer floorless. It's a good feeling. Now if I can just swing some new carpet in the great room, we'll be in business! Always something!

Our new room and floor progress

The rooom is now complete...I think. We've got our new bed, I've got my throw pillows and that cool picture hanging above the bed. I actually never want to leave my room now. I love it so much. It's kind of dangerous.

And I've included this pic of my silly girl, posing with my new car charm I won as a prize at a bridal shower. She's so silly. The other day she reminded me it was "Patrick's Day" and that if we didn't wear green, we'd get punched. I was impressed she got pretty close.
Our floor is being installed as I type, the man we hired got started yesterday, but ran into a slight problem when he realized the floor had to be built up before he could start. So, that consumed most of his day yesterday and not a whole lot of pergo got laid. But, he thinks he'll be done today, so I hope so. I'd love to have a kitchen I actually want to be in...and have my dining room table back.
So, now I'm in here trying to keep Sydney from going out there and trying to help him, or talk his ear off, and keep the dog in the house at the same time. Woo hoo!
