Bon Voyage!

We will be leaving for our cruise on Friday. I'm sad about leaving Sydney on Halloween, but it's a necessary evil due to flight times and all that. So, below is a picture of where I'll be spending next week... And here's a picture of St. Maarten, one of the stops on our tour.

St. Thomas

San Juan, PR

So, funny story before I go collapse into bed. Chris couldn't find his passport. He knew he'd had it just the day before, but couldn't find it. He asked Sydney if she knew anything about it, but she said she didn't. So, then he had mine out, looking at it and he saw a look on Sydney's face that prompted him to ask her again if she knew where it was. She said it was in her playroom and she had colored on it. So, he asked her to show him. Well, she walked in there, looked around, and said "no, it's in your room." So, they went into his office and she walked over to the bookshelf. He started pulling out books and looking through them and found it stuck in the middle of a book! We NEVER would have found that on our own and would have been soooo screwed. So, on one hand, I thank her for being smart enough to remember what she did with it and on the other, I wanna yell at her for taking it in the first place. Ughh! Oh well, we have the passport now. I've been packing her and me tonight, doing some laundry, etc... So, now it's off to bed and I guess I'll see you guys in 10 days or so...

Photo shoot

My sister in law's sister wanted me to take her family pictures this weekend. They haven't had any of them all together since Presleigh was 4 months old, I think she said. And she's 4 now, so... Kirstin likes the pictures I take, although I will say I'm not a Kelly http://www.kellymarshphotography.com/ by any means. I just have my little old point and shoot camera and a natural God given gift. HaHa. Anyway, here are just a few of the ones she liked.
Presleigh trying to pick up the pumpkin

I think Maddie might be birthing a pumpkin here, we're not sure. But cute, nonetheless.

I LOVE THIS ONE!

Maddie and Presleigh

3 beautiful girls!
I'm glad Kirstin liked them and I thought it really turned out well. I have some photoshop work to do still, I'm excited!

Random questions

Today, we're going home from daycare and Sydney asks me "When you eat poop, do you die?" Uh, well... why are you asking? She informed me that Addison ate her poop once. I don't recall that ever happening, so I'm pretty sure that's not true, but whatever. I informed her that you probably wouldn't die, but it would make you sick and it's gross. So, let's hope she just trusts me on this one.
Also, she's been getting in trouble for taking things at daycare and saying they belong to her. She brought home a black webkins dog the other day and told her the teacher had given one to each child in the class. Since this was doubtful, I called daycare the next day and found out the dog actually belonged to another little girl Sydney plays with. Sydney tells my mom that the little girl said she could have it, which, I can see as a possibility, however, she still lied about where it came from. So, last night, she couldn't watch any of her movies or t.v. that she wanted. Which means I got to watch what I wanted to watch! Sweet. So, when I picked her up today, she had a chihuahua stuffed dog with her stuff and I said "where did this come from?" And she proceeded to tell me the teacher gave it to them! Again?? Obviously, I'm not getting through here. So, I confronted her and asked if she was going to lie to me again and she said "no, it's not actually mine. I was just looking at it. I just wanted you to pet it." Uh huh.

Sleepy heads

I fixed dinner last night and Sydney ate her food, then went back to the bedroom, where I knew Chris was already sleeping. So, it got really quiet and I was like "what is going on?" So, I walked back there and here's what I found.
Both were completely passed out. Awww, how cute.
And, just for the sake of absolute cuteness, here's a video of Sydney singing "Jesus Loves Me."

It's official!

So, here it is. The for sale sign. Sigh... There is some sadness that goes with this although I really do want to move closer to civilization. I mean, this house has everything I want, and I just don't know if I can find it all in another house, for the price we're willing to pay. We found one we really liked on Saturday, which is what prompted us to put the sign out, even though the kitchen floor still isn't done. That house is smaller, which is fine by me, but not as many "rooms" as what we have, so either the playroom or the guest room would have to go, and even then, Chris's computer room still isn't as big as what he has now. Decisions, decisions.
My neighbor called me yesterday after I put the sign out and asked if he'd done something to piss me off, kidding of course. We sold them the house next door back in January and we just love them to death. So, that's going to be hard too. Matter of fact, we love all our neighbors. And it'll be hard to leave all of them.
I had one call on the house already, so yeah! We're not in any hurry though, so that's good. Hopefully, we can get what we want out of it and come out with a smaller house payment in the end.

Do I really want to give this up?

So, this is what we got to see tonight at our pond. How precious.

There were about 4 or 5 and they were just hanging out, getting a drink. The dogs next door scared them off, but it was so awesome. It's true that it's just so beautiful out here. I just wish it wasn't so far from civilization. It can get kind of lonely. I mean, I like being alone, but a surprise visit every once in a while might be nice. But not out here. If we get a visit, it's from the neighbors. Which, is always nice, don't get me wrong, but just not the same. So, we're continuing our house hunt. I've given a list of houses we want to see to our realtor and hopefully she can get some appointments set up soon. Funny story, she sent us a house to review and my first thought was no. I'm not sure why, it just didn't do anything for me from the outside. Chris liked it though and wanted me to view the inside pics. And WOW! It was like another house inside. Incredible. In ground pool, enclosed sun porch, just beautiful. So, we will definately be checking that one out. I'll keep you posted.

House hunting

So, I've been casually looking at houses on line and last night, I thought I had found the one. A brand new, never lived in, foreclosure for sooo much cheaper than what it should have been. So, I called our realtor friend and she got us in this morning. It wasn't even complete!! There was no flooring, just subfloor, it was only half painted, there were no banisters, no AC unit outside, no outside lights, no doorbell, no deck. Ughhh! No wonder it was so cheap. The layout was absolutely incredible though. Upstairs would have had a railing that overlooked the living room below. It had 5 bedrooms, 3.5 baths and a full basement (that had drywall, but again, wasn't clost to done). And it's being sold as is, which means I'd have to finish it. No thanks. So, we've set our friend on a mission to find what we want. We're in no hurry to move, but we do have to sell our house first. I bought the sign today, but there are some things we have to do to ours first, like finish replacing that kitchen floor, painting, patching carpet. Ughh, and we still have to get ready for our cruise coming up. So now I'm kind of freaking out.

7 Random Things about Me
1. I have nightmares about public restroooms. In my dreams, I always really have to pee and all I can find is a really disgusting bathroom that I cannot fathom even stepping foot into. Every stall is nastier than the one before and I start to panic because I really have to pee.
2. I will not write with blue ink pens. I'm not sure why this is, I just don't like them. They seem cheap.
3. I can do a one handed clap. In order to be able to do this, you must be able to lay your fingers flat against the palm of your hand. My mother hates this trick for reasons unbeknownst to me.
4. I am afraid of heights.
5. I, at one time, had my real estate license.
6. My daughter was born on Mother's Day
7. I love to eat and talk about food all day long to my co-workers. Seriously, ALL DAY LONG! I go on and on about what I'm craving and 5 minutes later, I'm on to something else. It's all I think about. I send random emails to my co-workers like "mmmmmmm.......crab rangoon......mmmmmm"
