She takes pictures of her feet
And of the television show she's watching
We went to the circus with my friend Paula, her husband, and her little girl, Millie. It was the first time Millie and Sydney had met. Here they are holding hands on their way into the circus.
Sydney was so excited. I think Millie wondered what was going on. Also, look carefully here at the length of Sydney's hair, so you can understand the later pictures.
Of course, Sydney HAD to jump in this bounce house. She was schooled in what is called a "rip off" since we payed $6.00 for her to jump for 15 minutes. And the lady in this picture wasn't very nice.
Tigers! Sydney really liked these. The shirtless guy in the leather pants was a little ridiculous.
I have a new found love for elephants. They are so cute!
For the most part, I think Sydney was more interested in her sno cone than anything going on around her. She was finally a little happier when I let her stand up and she got to dance around in front of her seat. She made a friend with the little girl next to us who was basically copying everything Sydney did. It was too cute. Millie even came down a couple times to dance. The circus went on forever and eventually, our kiddos were tired. So, after nearly 3 hours, we left. I can't believe it lasted that long! Sydney had fun.
This is just a picture I took of Chris and Sydney in front of the pond last Sunday. We tried to take Sydney sledding down our hill, but she didn't like it. We got to the top of the hill and she looked down and said "this doesn't look very safe." Which just cracked me up! I had to run down next to her, holding her hand. We did that about 3 times before she said she didn't want to do it anymore, she didn't like it. Maybe next year.
So, Sydney hacked at her hair yet again today and I had just had it. So, I took her to get it all evened up (except for the part where she basically scalped herself. Nothing we can do about that.) So, here's what it looks like. I think it's adorable. She alternates between "hating" it and liking it. She says now she looks like Millie.
She came to me after I'd sent her to brush her teeth and told me she thought her tooth was loose. Well, she's told me this before and when I check them, they're not loose, so I didn't think much of it at first, but when she wiggled it with her tongue, I knew she wasn't kidding. So, I started getting all giddy, which I think scared her and she started to get upset. I told her that it was ok, mommy was just excited and that we needed to go show daddy. So, we went downstairs and on the way down, she asked if it was going to fall down her throat. I assured her that was probably not going to happen. So, we get downstairs and I told Chris that Sydney had something to show him. She wiggled it for him, but he couldn't really tell what was going on and about that time, she reached in her mouth and just pulled it out. I was shocked! Then she took it over and showed it to him, all proud. So, we put it under her pillow for the tooth fairy to come tonight. And, the one next to it is loose too and I bet it doesn't last another day or two. She's a little freaked out now and asked if they were all going to fall out. I told her yes, and she started to get upset and tell me that she can't eat without teeth. So, I told her they don't fall out all at once, just maybe one or two at a time, so she'd still be able to eat. While I'm excited about this milestone (the older they get, the fewer they are), it's a little sad cause it means my baby is growing up.
