I got a call from school on Friday around 2:00 saying that Sydney had fallen off a slide and fell about 4 feet, landing on her other wrist. The nurse felt like due to her history, I needed to come get her and have it looked at. So I left work early and picked her up. The nurse met me outside the office and said Sydney was doing much better and that if she had been acting like this when she called, she wouldn't have called me. I looked at it and based on Sydney's behavior and knowing how she acted when it was broken, I decided it wasn't (and Sydney agreed). So, we skipped the Immediate Care Center and just went home for some motrin, an ace bandage, an ice pack and a nap. She looks really great with a bandage on each arm now. She refuses to take the black one off, only to bathe. It's really not necessary, but we'll go with it for now and then it might just disappear after the two weeks is up.

I don't know what we're going to do with her. Put her in a bubble? It seems to be our only (and cheapest) option at this point. We've been blaming Sydney's clumsiness on my mother, since she was on crutches 3 times in high school, but she said even she wasn't this bad. Chris said we should start playing the lottery. If her arm had been broken, I seriously would've had a breakdown. But anyway, thank God it's not (seriously, thank you God!). Now I'm trying to convince her that she's got to take the bandages off for her pictures tomorrow. We'll see how that goes!
